"You have a blog. You compose a new post. You click Publish and lean back to admire your work. Imperceptibly and all but instantaneously, your post slips into a vast and recursive network of software agents, where it is crawled, indexed, mined, scraped, republished, and propagated throughout the Web. Within minutes, if you've written about a timely and noteworthy topic, a small army of bots will get the word out to anyone remotely interested, from fellow bloggers to corporate marketers." Smashing's list of great blogs, organized by CMS/framework, is notable for a few reasons: 1. It shows that -- at lest when using the popular featured tools -- design is almost completely independent of CMS. The idea that "all *insert CMS here* sites look the same" is simply untrue and an unfair criticism of a particular platform. 2. It has several great designs I'd never seen before. 3. It has a small, but nice, selection of Django-powered blogs. Saved By: Jeff Croft | View Details | Give Thanks
